At this time, ALL permit applications and supporting documentation required for permit review, processing and issuance MUST be done using one of the digital (electronic) options listed below.
Upon completion of all required reviews and approvals, applicants will be contacted for payment.
Options for digital submittal
- Online Permitting: Is available to licensed contractors working on 1- and 2-Family residential properties doing simple (no plans required) work such as reroofing, window replacement (same size), and siding. NOTE: This option IS NOT for any type of permit that requires construction documents such as site plans, floor plans, building elevations, structural engineering. Project such as garages, decks, porches, steps/stoops, additions, etc. must first submit an electronic permit application and then wait for an invitation to upload their plans into Project Dox after their application has been received and set up.
- Electronic Permit Applications: Refer to the appropriate digital permit application at this website to download and submit your application to our office via email. See section titled “Submit Application." NOTE: Submittal of your application requires staff to review the application AND set up the application in our permitting database. This may take up to two business days for completion. If plans are needed, you will be sent an email to upload your plan documents.
- ProjectDox: Any construction projects requiring plan documents for city review (e.g. site plans, building elevations, construction details, etc.), may use our ePlan (ProjectDox) – Electronic Plan submission process. NOTE: All permits that require construction documents for city review will to have the electronic permit application (see above) set up in our permitting database BEFORE any plan documents can be uploaded into Project Dox by the applicant.
NOTE: Faxed applications and other documents will NOT be accepted.
